Meet The Staff
Steve J. Harman
Steve Harman was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America. Steve was nominated and inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers, a prestigious national association of trial lawyers which includes only 37 Montana Lawyers. In addition Steve was nominated and accepted for membership into the American Board of Trial Advocacy. He has received “A/V” rating from Martindale Hubb, which is the highest rating for competence and ethics a lawyer can receive. For many years Steve has volunteered a week of his time as faculty to instruct lawyers and law students how to try cases as part of the University of Montana Advance trial Advocacy Program. When he is not suing doctors and hospitals or other defendants who harm citizens, he is fishing, hunting, or enjoying a round of golf.
Elizabeth Potter, Nurse Paralegal
Elizabeth Potter is a registered nurse with 25 years of bedside experience in critical care. She was added to the staff in 2014 to facilitate the development of medical negligence claims. She uses her experience as a certified Legal Nurse Consultant to analyze medical records, to locate and manage expert witnesses, to create and monitor an in-house electronic document and caseload management system, and to obtain pertinent medical research to support your case. Elizabeth is a graduate of Marquette University, College of Nursing. She and her husband are Chicago natives who have lived in Wyoming and Montana for 20 years, settling in Billings to raise a family.
